Personalities of Twitter

Over the course of the past week I had the opportunity to check out a lot of different celebrities on Twitter and learn a lot about their accounts. Through looking at this variety of twitter accounts I learned a lot about the promotions of celebrities' compositions and what kinds of methods they take to to get their composition and name out to the world via Twitter. Each one has their own special brand which they seem to display to their audience through their social media accounts. I touched on different types of musical artists such as Jake Owen and Marshall Mathers (Eminem).

Jake Owen is a singer who uses a few genres such as country, pop, and even hip-hop at times. He tries to produce music that brings happiness to people's thoughts, involving having a good time and even romance. This authentic brand is portrayed by his Twitter account as well. He show's his fun-loving characteristics with genuine tweets to his fans and to his followers in general that portray these characteristics. He jokes around and shows what seems to be genuine care towards people, and he shows off some of his personal life like spending time with the family. This vulnerability of his legitimate personality along with rhetoric devices such as repetition and allusion make his Twitter account seem genuine and authentic.

Marshall Mathers, a strictly hip-hop artist, who raps songs of criticism to people and other negatively effective parts of society. His brand, musically, which portrays a negative, aggressive side, differs from the more positive, joking brand his Twitter account fakely portrays. The reason I deem this twitter account fake is due to the fact that it uses repetition of tweets to support Eminem's business and he alludes to his songs and portrays a positive, happier brand and personality. He also alludes to new songs and time he spends on the job which continues to show the fake, business promoting Twitter.

From reading the tweets of these two I found various ideas and methods to consider when trying to promote both my business and my brand and personality in real life. These kind of ideas will be ones that I will utilize to promote in a well-balanced manner for project 3.
